Is there a way to specify the name of the file when the browser puts up the Save dialog?

By default, when I link the download to a shared file in OneDrive or Google Drive, the filename is a complex/not-humanly-readable name, without a file extension (e.g., EfXo3f9FIw1Mgn-z6T1auvYBhcPQVmCOmb9T0VjEcEyliw, because that’s what was defined by OneDrive when I created the sharable link).

I’d like to be able to override the default with a humanly-readable name

  • Hey Mark,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

I regret to say that the filename is set and cannot be changed dynamically as that would affect the performance.

I hope that answers your query. Let us know if you have any further questions.

Thanx for the quick reply. Although I’m sorry that the file name cannot be overridden, as it makes the plugin unusable in my use case (creating downloadable links that reference files in Microsoft’s OneDrive cloud).
