Specific post’s content not displaying with > 7875 characters

  • I’ve got a new post ready for my blog, but the contents of the post (and for this post only) are not loading.

    I’ve verified that the contents exists in the MySQL database directly and have tried disabling all plugins. When I chop the length down to 7875 characters or less, the contents displays. Anything above this and nothing is outputted. It doesn’t matter where in the HTML I put the 7876th character, the post won’t display, which leads to me to believe it’s not a parsing issue.

    I can copy and paste the contents of longer post (10639 characters) into this post and preview it just fine. Furthermore, if I copy the contents of the problem post into a whole new post, still they won’t display.

    I’ve check the error logs on the server and don’t find anything that seems to indicate a problem. Is there anywhere else I can check?

  • Why do you want to post so long articles? ?? I never read long articles ??

    WordPress stores data in the database….so check that database post content field size is set more than this character…set it to unlimited..

    It may be possible then when you copy and paste code from word that has included wrap document code which lead to stop adding the contents..so remove that code from the post..

    Much of the actual article are attachments, and as you can imagine, the [caption] and [a] tags take up quite a bit of space.

    Aside from that, I authored the whole post in WordPress itself. I didn’t copy/paste from Word or any other program. As I mentioned earlier, when i check the database directly, the full contents of the article is correctly stored. Additionally, I have longer articles that exhibit no issue.

    Any other thoughts on how to actually trace the code and figure out what’s going wrong?
