Specific Lines of Code in a Child Theme

I have child themes on all my sites but still am not very good at using them. I have one site where the theme has a lot of grammatical errors in it so every time I update it I have to go back through to each specific php file and fix the wording. Stupid stuff like changing a title from “much happy” to “very happy”. I know I could just add those particular files to my child theme but I want everything else on the files to update with the new updates it is just the wording I don’t like. Is there a way to write in the child theme something like replace “much happy” to very happy” on file example.php?
