Hi ?? Plugin looks great … nice work

Just checking out the free version before I look at a purchase …. I can see the full set of categories when I add “category” as the taxonomy term … when I add a specific category (sample below), nothing shows up.

Is there something else I need to do?
    Many thanks in advance

    [wpb_category_accordion taxonomy=”cars” ‘orderby’ = ‘name’ ‘order’ = ‘ASC’ ‘show_count’ = ‘no’ ‘hide_empty’ = ‘no’]

    Hi,

I think you do little mistake to write the shortcode, It should be like the bellow

    [wpb_category_accordion taxonomy=”cars” orderby=”name” order=”ASC” show_count=”no” hide_empty=”no”]

Try it and let me know. Make sure your taxonomy key is cars.

    Thanks

    Hi Imran,

Sorry for the late reply the, mail went to my spam folder.

Many thanks for the quick reply ??

I have tried it again and updated the plugin also … but still not showing a specific category for me.
The other options seem to be working ….

I use / view the full category list:
    [wpb_category_accordion taxonomy=”category” orderby=”name” order=”ASC” show_count=”no” hide_empty=”no”]

    Main Menu:
    [wpb_menu_accordion menu=”Main menu”]

    and custom taxonomy:
    [wpb_category_accordion taxonomy=”videos_categories” orderby=”name” order=”ASC” show_count=”no” hide_empty=”no”]

    Hi,

I am not sure I am getting your point or not,

Are you want to show a custom taxonomy or specific category form a taxonomy ?

    Thanks

    Hi ??

Sorry maybe this will be better…
I have categories like this in the category admin

    Europe

    -Northern Europe
    –Ireland
    –Faroe Islands
    –United Kingdom

    -Western Europe
    –Austria
    –Belgium
    –Switzerland

    Africa

    -Northern Africa
    –Algeria
    –Egypt
    –Western Sahara

    etc

So I am ok to show all categories

but if I want to just show Northern Europe and its subcategories it does not show

    [wpb_category_accordion taxonomy=”northern-europe” orderby=”name” order=”ASC” show_count=”no” hide_empty=”no”]

    Hi,

It’s not possible for free version, In premium version you will get a custom widget. In widget you will get categories checkbox to exclude specific categories.

    Thanks

    Ah ok ??

I have a lot of categories … is it possible to include rather than exclude?
Can I used the shortcode rather than the widget to achieve this? Like the example

    [wpb_category_accordion taxonomy=”northern-europe” orderby=”name” order=”ASC” show_count=”no” hide_empty=”no”]

    Hi,

I didn’t add include feature, I will add it in future.

No by shortcode not possible to exclude.

    Thanks

Ok many thanks again … much appreciated

I have many different locations where I need to use subcategories … so the shortcode would be the only really feasible way to do it … maybe in the future it is something you may consider adding?

I would it think it would be beneficial for other users too … it is a great plugin … would love to be able to use it extensively ??
