Special permalink with taxonomy and custom post types

When you say “custom taxonomy term” do you mean a tag, or a category?

If it’s a category, you can simply put /%category%/%postname% in the custom permalink input field.

It’s a category.

The /%category%/ doesn’t work for custom term. What I need is the term from my custom taxonomy to appear on the URL.

Are you talking about a custom post type? Please be more specific with what you mean by “custom taxonomy” so we understand where it comes from.
