• Our problem is as follows:

In the store timing we are using SPECIAL OPENING DATES and do NOT have the individual days of the week selected (Sunday – Monday……-Saturday). On the day itself (ex. January 21st), customers cannot order for that specific day (January 21st) unless I turn on that ‘weekday’, in this case ‘Thursday’.

For example, currently we have 21 -24 January and 12 – 14 February installed as SPECIAL OPENING DATES. Customers can order at any time of the day for any of those dates. We close the shop manually, meaning that on January 21st when we decide that we will no longer take orders for the 21st, we will disable the 21st…customers may then of course continue to place orders for the 22nd, 23rd, etc.
So it is currently January 19th, all ordering is possible, in two days, on the 21st of January, I will have to switch on ’Thursday” and then also adjust the ‘pre order days’ (we do not want all Thursdays open) so that customers will be able to – on Thursday, January 21st – place an order for pick-up or delivery on Thursday, January 21st. If I do NOT go in and select ’Thursday’ when it is actually Thursday the 21st of January, it will say that the shop is closed and customers can then only select from dates in the future.

We serve a menu that changes each week and in order to have customers only order a specific menu during a specific week, we must continuously adjust the store timing.

    Hello,

Thank you for explaining it briefly. Currently the plugin is prepared in following way. It 1st checks the normal weekdays to find out the dates, then it processes the additional special opening days and also deducts the holidays from it. Also, unless a preorder days value is given it can’t calculate the advanced days. This is done as we are mostly restaurants, and every restaurant has at least some fixed days to open.

So, what you can do is, you can enable pre order for at least 30 days, then have to keep any weekday open and then set your special opening days. It should work fine. For example, in weekdays, you can enable Thursdays and expect 21st, rest 3 to 4 thursdays you can add to holiday list.

Do let us know your thoughts on this.

    Hello,

The program seems not to be performing as you describe. If upon first checking the ‘weekdays’ it then checks ‘dates’, then by default if no individual ‘weekday’ (Saturday, Sunday, etc.) is selected then it should automatically only take the ‘special opening dates’ – correct?! This DOES happen, up until the ‘day of’ which is where something goes wrong in the backend. For example, I have selected that pre-orders can be done 7 days in advance, I do NOT have any weekdays selected but only ’special opening dates’ (January 21, 22, 23, 24, February 12, 13, 14). Customers sitting behind the computer on January 20th can seamlessly order for any of the dates. The moment the clock turns to January 21st, customers can seamlessly order for January 22, 23, 24, February 12, 13, 14 BUT NOT for January 21st – so an order placed on the 21st FOR the 21st does not work – it says the shop is closed – but in the store timing the shop is OPEN! In order to work around this, I must then, on January 21st, also enable ’Thursday’ (because January 21st IS a Thursday), and of course change the pre-order days to 6 – ONLY THEN can customers order for January 21, 22, 23, 24, February 12, 13, 14.

We DO NOT want our shop to be open 30 days in advance. we have a menu that changes each week. The new menu is published on Sunday for the following week. With the exception of holidays (Christmas, Valentine, Easter) customers can only pre-order their meals for the week ahead.

    Please advise!
