    Media Hygiene works two ways,

    1. By checking in media library
    2. By Visual scan

If media file is uploaded using standard wordpress version, it will surely scan you media file and show as used / unused.

If this does not work some how for you, we will implement this case.

    Thanks

The scan claims almost everything is left over. I don’t believe it. What should I do?

Free version has limited scope and it scans for basic things. Please check compatibility for free version here – https://mediahygiene.com/compatibilities/

I would recommend giving a try to pro version for more features and accurate scan results.

Just to clarify…the free version of Media Hygiene works best on Gutenberg and Elementor (free). However if other plugins you use add additional functionality to the site thru Elementor builder or Gutenberg builder and uses any sort of custom posts, then the free version won’t be able to properly detect if the media is attached to the page.

Let us know if you have any more questions.
