    Hello,

It’s common to use letters with accents like é, á, à, etc in Brazilian Portuguese. I’m having some trouble with tablesorter because it doesn’t see “é” as an “E” so it sends whatever starts with these characters to the bottom of the list.

Is there anyway how to fix that?

    Thank you

  • Hello,

I have the exact same problem in French. I love Table Sorter but I can’t get to make it work concerning the accents. I tried looking at other table sorter scripts, including Mottie’s: https://mottie.github.io/tablesorter/docs/index.html.

He manages all kinds of accents I think: https://mottie.github.io/tablesorter/docs/example-locale-sort.html

I tried integrating this code in the plugin, even just to test if it could work, but I’m a beginner in javascript, really.

I hope someone can help us on this matter, and it would be even better to hear from the plugin’s author. ??
