    Hello,

The GTM4WP instructions says to insert “<?php if ( function_exists( ‘gtm4wp_the_gtm_tag’ ) ) { gtm4wp_the_gtm_tag(); } ?>” and “If you select ‘Custom’ you need to edit your template file and add the following line just after the opening <body> tag:”. The instructions are straight forward and using Insert Headers and Footers plugin to do the job. The problem is getting the messege in the Topic Title with no references online on how to fix. The closest reference is in a video but did not reference this issue https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9msXyA7O0w . Is the body insert code written wrong? I’m tapped out on searches and hope you can answer this please. Screenshot attached https://prntscr.com/26iu5an

    Hi,

The Headers and Footers plugin will insert JavaScript codes into your site that is executing in your browser.

The mentioned PHP code needs to be inserted into the code of your template, in most cases into the header.php file which is executed on the server before loading the page into your browser.

However, the codeless option is nowadays safe and v1.15 will clarify this by removing the warning and making this option the default for new installations.
