Special character is being stripped in email

  • When a user provides a url (internal path) for a file name like “\\Xxbackup01\XXXackupData\Restricted\100000” in a form filed the email is now sending this back “\Xxbackup01XXXackupDataRestricted100000”.

    This used to work perfectly but I was just informed that it stopped and from my research, it stopped around 7/6/2020.

    This is used by my internal data center to retrieve files from backup for reprocessing.

    It looks like this is a reoccurrence of a problem from 2 years ago.

    The email is stripping the backslash unless there are two of them “\\” then it strips one of them.
