Spanish works on Site, not Admin (error 500)

    I found and installed .mo and .po files, and pointed to them in wp-config.php.

    Now when I view the site, I can see that some language has been translated into Spanish, but when I go to any Admin page I get error 500.

    It didn’t seem to matter whether I placed languages folder inside wp-content or wp-includes.

    I’m using version 3.0.1. Could that be a problem? If so can I downgrade?

    Any ideas?
