    Hi there,

I keep getting an email from me telling me that one of my plugins needs to be updated. There is a link to a copy of the email below. Do you know if this this is legit or is this spam? I don’t think I have this plugin installed on my sites, and I am not sure why I keep getting this email. Please let me know when you get a chance. Thanks!

Can you show me the copy of the email, and also list all the plugins on your site?

I have several sites, so it would be hard to share that list. I am removing Yoast to be on the safe side.

Ah I see that the site name is not being found so you can’t see the site for that email. If you have the yoast plugin installed with that version, then you are running a site with a known vulnerability and you should read the link with more information on what your options are

Ok. I wasn’t sure if the link was safe. It didn’t look like something normal. I’ve removed the plugin so, we will see if I get the email again.

    Thank you for your help!

You could also just update the plugin if a security patch has been released
