    Hi there! I’m noticing I’m still getting spam (mostly “marketing” opportunities). The spammers are not filling in the honeypot field (which I’ve named ‘website’) so spam is still getting through. What’s wrong? Should I give the field another name?

  • Hey @floortjahh — looking at the site, there doesn’t appear to be any issues with how you have it installed. Perhaps if it’s mostly marketing companies, I would try changing “website” to “email”, as it’s more likely they want you to reply directly to them than visit a website. There are a couple other options you might want to try — including

    It could also be that the spam isn’t bot-generated. Manual spammers wouldn’t fill in the honeypot field, as it is designed to be invisible to humans.

    You may also want to try the “Move inline CSS (optional)” setting. It’s a checkbox when you generate the honeypot shortcode.
