We understand that, when you updated Yoast SEO, you got an error stack of errors in the error log file. We’re sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.
We’d need a bit more information about your site and your server set-up to find a possible cause. Can you confirm that you are running the latest themes, and plugins on your site? Next, we’d like to know if your site and webserver meet the plugin requirements which are listed here: https://yoast.com/help/plugin-requirements/?
You can get this by going to your WordPress Dashboard, go to Tools → Site Health. Go to the Info tab above, and click the “Copy site information to clipboard” button and paste here.

Hi,
Could you provide us with a complete screenshot of the error message/notification you are getting in your server’s logs? Could you also check if this still occurs with the newest release of Yoast SEO 18.0?
Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict, is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty.
Please test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.
If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts
after the update is ok thanks
