• First of all: great plugin! I’m using it for many clients.

Today a client got aware that one of his forms received more than 5000 spam entries within the last few days. Can’t say exactly if it’s since the last WP Armour update. Other forms are spam free so far. He is using Contact Form 7.

Funny thing: when testing the forms accordingly WP Armour’s honeypot test widget works here but not here or here. The last two simply ignore the setting/button “Acting as Spam Bot” and submit the data successfully.

I’ve disabled the caching plugin (WP Fastest Cache) and tested again. The problem persists.

Any ideas what’s the reason for this?
    Many thank in advance!

For the first time, regarding one website, I am experiencing the same thing. The website has multiple forms (CF7) but the ‘contact form’ is receiving daily spam submits. I see the ‘This form has a honeypot trap enabled’ notification.
