Spam messages with 42

    Hello,

    we have Ninja Forms installed on several websites, all updated with latest version of Ninja Forms and other plugins.

    Since yesterday we start receiving forms submission without the required fields, but just 42 in the message text.

    Phone:
    Email:
    Message:42

    What could be the issue? Any hints who to understand how they were able to submit a form without the required inputs filled?

    We’ve very recently begun receiving reports similar to yours of certain Ninja Forms submissions triggering spam email under very specific conditions. We’re investigating the nature and cause of the issue now and will release a patch as soon as possible. Please accept our apologies for the aggravation, and keep an eye out for an update soon!

    Our developers have reported that they have identified how this issue might occur and have a fix prepared.

    A pre-release build of the Ninja Forms core plugin that contains the fix can be found below if you would like to give this a try now:

    Hello there, I have upgraded to the latest ninja forms and am still getting the “42” spam emails. Can you please point me to your fix so I can see what is happening?
