  • Hi @sensorskins,

Your SPF looks valid, which is good. Have you tried sending mail to recipients on various different mail providers to rule out one specific provider being at fault (e.g. Gmail, Hotmail, etc)?

    Kind Regards,

    Hey Tim,

thanks for your answer. We tried several providers (gmail, web, gmx). The mails all ended up in spam folders. :/

    Kind Regards,
    Bettina

    Hi Bettina,

Can you try using mail-tester.com to see whether it gives you any indication on the problem? I strongly suspect it is not plugin related, but we’ll see what we can do to help.

Click here to access the Mail Tester website service.

    Kind Regards,
    Tim

    Hey Tim,

    Hi Bettina,

9/10 – not bad! The only thing that really would improve your score, as mail-tester.com says is signing your messages with DKIM.

Adding DKIM is something that you need to do on the SMTP host, so perhaps get in contact with your hosting provider for that – they will be best placed to advise on that one.

Otherwise, emails should be going direct to inbox. Have you tried sending to a new email address since you made the DNS/SPF changes? Sometimes email providers will continue to mark senders as spam if they once had incorrect SPF. It can take some time for them to acknowledge and accept the new SPF records.

    Does that make sense?

    Kind Regards,
    Tim

    Hi @sensorskins,

We haven’t heard from you in a while, so I’ll mark this thread as resolved. If you have any further questions please feel free to open a new thread, and link to this one.

    Kind Regards,
    Tim
