• I accidentally discovered this site. It’s showing people how to use tags to add their spam blogs to sites like Del.icio.us, Furl, Digg.com and more. It’s all about ‘making money’. This absolutely infuriates me, just like those ‘blog blaster’ sites that came out a year ago.

The email address of the owner of the site is:

    [Moderated]

Nothing irritates me more than doing a search on Technorati and having half of the results that come up be nothing but sites with tags and keywords so they show up in the search. I have tried reporting some of the peskier of the sites and I still see them. Nothing was done (this was on Technorati).

Spammers are scum of the earth and I hate them all.

  • I have broken the link and removed the name and address above.

As much as you – and others – may dislike it, what they are doing is not a crime anywhere. The best places to complain are at the search sites. If I need anything from the blog world, I look to Feedster for my answers – they are very good.

Spammers may be the scum of the earth, but posting a link to their site from here and more publicity just helps them.

It may be legal, but I certainly think that these people should be pestered by bloggers just as much as they pester the hell out of us. What’s wrong with this person getting some nasty emails? After all, WE are the ones who are always having to add protection to our sites so that these people can’t take complete advantage of us by posting spam comments.

Oh, and I have sent complaints regarding that site to all of the sites they have listed. I don’t know what good it will do, but at least I made an attempt.

The spam site has been down for two days now. It’s just showing a Fedora Core test page. Hopefully their host shut them down, or perhaps they got enough negative feedback that they decided to do the honorable thing and shut down on their own.
