SPAM HELL!!!

  • Hey… for the past two days, I am getting spam flooded. I have WP set up to look at the comments and ask me if I want to approve them
    But now my inbox is getting full.
    why can’t it just delete them or block them and not tell me about it?
    I am using kitten’s plug in.

  • Here’s what I do.
    I set my email client to sort emails with content in those notification emails to go to a special folder. With that simple filter I eliminate my inbox from getting clogged when the spammers attack my weblog.
    I use Gmail and the folter and labels work just fine. If a notification comes in via kitten’s plugin it simply gets tagged and archived.

    Turn off email notification. You know that you will likely get spammed, so just go to the moderation panel whenever you feel like it and use Kitten’s plugins to mass edit all of them at the same time. With her tools, you can mark them, add IPs and keywords to the spam word list, and delete them, with a few clicks.
