Spam from UNREGISTERED users when I REQUIRE registration to post comment?!

  • I have set the following options under Settings-General:

    Comment author must fill out name and e-mail
    Users must be registered and logged in to comment

    And yet I get spam every day from people selling drugs. These people have never registered on my blog, so how is this possible?

    Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
