    Hi

I’ve recently installed the plugin on my club’s website. I’ve provided the link for you. I’ve just been informed by someone that the firewall (with a 30 second timer) appeared a few times for them, within a 5-10 minute period.

The firewall does seem to be doing a good job, but is there a way to prevent it from showing it to genuine users? Does it somehow learn what is and isn’t spam? What are its criteria for showing the firewall with a timer to someone? For the club to do well, we need to make sure that this doesn’t happen to genuine users, as it can quite easily put them off getting to the website and making enquiries.

If it keeps happening, the only option really will be to disable the firewall, which doesn’t seem like a great thing to do.

Thanks in advance. I’m looking forward to hearing from you soon.

    Best wishes

    James

    Hello, @jgolding94.

Is this issue happening on the newest anti-spam version 5.151.3?

    Hi. Thanks for the reply!

Yes it is. It’s happening on that version. It has happened to a couple of other people as well now.

I’m thinking disabling the firewall would be best, at least in the short term. Is there anything you can maybe suggest?

Yes, please check this option “Anti-Flood Page Views Limit”:
? WordPress Admin Page —> Settings —> Anti-Spam by CleanTalk —> Advanced settings —> Anti-Flood Page Views Limit

And increase the number as you see fit. I recommend increasing it by 100% or 200%.

Alternatively, you can keep SpamFireWall without these two options:
    ? WordPress Admin Page —> Settings —> Anti-Spam by CleanTalk —> Anti-Flood and Anti-Crawler

    Thank you.

For some reason, the option for me to increase the number was greyed out, but either way, I have followed the second option, switching off the Anti-Flood and Anti-Crawler features.

Thanks so much again for helping me so quickly. I really appreciate it.
