I’ve noticed that several legitimate comments are ending up in the spam folder. I’ve whitelisted certain users, but they still get flagged. I’m concerned that genuine engagement is being blocked.

Could you provide some settings guidance or a workaround to reduce false positives?

Thank you for reaching out! There are a couple of potential reasons why legitimate comments might be flagged as spam:

    1. Trackbacks and Pingbacks: If the comments are trackbacks or pingbacks, they may get flagged since the linked blog won’t include our honeypot field, causing them to be marked as spam.
    2. Custom Comment Form: If your theme uses a custom comment form, our plugin may not be able to add the required honeypot field. If that’s the case, please share the URL of the page with the comment form, and we’d be happy to check it out.
