• Hi

We have for several years happily been using Subscribe2 to notify our readers when a new post is online. Lately though we have had a lot of attempted signups (from robots I guess) resulting in confirmation email bouncing to postmaster (me) and ruining my mail servers reputation.
I have seen that the extended edition now have a ReCaptcha option on the subscribe page and would like to ask if you have any plans on back-porting this to the free non-HTML version?
After all 69$/year is a lot of money for a non commercial blog, – and I would never want to send html letters anyway.

    Regards. Klaus

Back-posting is not going to happen as I no longer have access to the free version code but actively develop the paid version.

I am not sure what the plan is for the free version.

In the meantime you could try blocking the bots much earlier using Stop Spammers and Bad Behaviour plugins.

I am sorry to hear. Facing this problem on top of GDPR I think I’ll just remove the subscribe possibility.
Thanks for letting me known anyway.
