• Over the weekend we had a old form we forgot about get attacked. It generated about 20k emails and entries over the course of a few hours. I was able to get it locked down and stop the issue but now our site is extremely sluggish and when I go to look at the various submissions through another app (CFDB7) they either don’t load or load with massively incorrect data.

Any advice on this? I’d like to remove all the offending submissions and hope that the database runs better but just not sure how best to tackle it. Thanks for any assistance!

  • hello @willthing

you have to ask the author of cfbd7 what is the name of the custom post type (or if there is a table table for this) and delete all the post of that post type from mysql (there are also plugins for this) all posts or “truncate” the table of cfbd7.

But you should ask the author who will surely be able to answer you better.

ps what kind of attack did you suffer?
