Spam Anonymous Users

  • Hello,

    We have thousands of Users into Anonymous..

    Subscriber (27,772)
    Anonymous (53,032)

    Not sure if this Required any more? We had Forum plugin earlier which we have removed now.. So some Users were belonging to that Forum too.. and Rest I believe are of WP Ecommerce… So Can we simply go ahead and Delete all these Users?

    I have added following line into WP-config.php but No help still,

    define( ‘WPSC_CUSTOMER_DATA_EXPIRATION’, 24 * 3600 );

    Any help?

    Hello Justin,

    Till today it was 3.9.1 and updated today to latest one 3.9.2

    We have been using this plugin since 2.x version.

    Hi Hardik,

    Wow! First, thanks for being a user for so long – that’s incredible.

    Now, these anonymous users should have been purged as part of the 3.8.13.2 release. It’s possible that the upgrade routine never ran or timed out before completion – but yes, you are safe to delete these anonymous users – they are no longer used.

    Thanks for your confirmation on deleting Anonymous Users.

    What about “Subscribers” Are those created by your plugins as well? If I wish to delete “Subscribers” also.. will there be any issues with WP eCommerce? Any loss of data?
