I’m sorry we’ve caused these issues. As you’ve noted, we’re planning to work on a spam prevention method in version 1.3.0, but you feel that’s not soon enough. We’re extremely close to having 1.2.0 finished, and we want to get that out the door. However, dropping this on it at this point would delay it more than it already has been. One thing that I think will help you in 1.2.0 is that we will be adding the ability to disable email notification sending if the setting is checked AND you have your account connected to a Constant Contact account. It’s not a complete solution that you’re looking for, but it is a step in the right direction.
The threads were marked resolved because they noted feature requests that we had since added to our internal notes and requests lists. I also always strive to note WHY those types of threads are marked resolved. For this example, it’s because it’s in the works and we’re aware of the user requests/desires. Other than the lack of specific features like spam aids, has the plugin been doing what it should be? Are you receiving the contacts in your Constant Contact account lists, if connected? Or is it failing in other ways, and you’re just focusing your concerns on these parts at the moment?
