    Hi JohnnykManx,

    I have noticed this issue before using Jetpack email notifications. It turns out this is a well-known problem with Jetpack, in which shortcodes are not stripped out of email notifications and also this affects the Publicize module.

    They haven’t put out a fix for it yet. You can read more about it here: https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/869
