Spacer doesn't show in the Visual Editor

Hi,
I have followed Tyler’s guideline for WordPress (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sd0grLQ4voU).
After downloading the Spacer Plug-In and Activating it, it doesn’t show up in the Visual Editor though. It just looks like this: https://screencast.com/t/YJwj1AsjWF
Do you know what I can do to make it look like this: https://screencast.com/t/fUgBeMnlFV ?
Hope you can help me, I’m quite new to this.
