• I noticed a bug that has occurred to me on multiple WordPress installs and seems related to this plugin.

I have a fresh WordPress install with the Gutenberg plugin running. I use Create Block Theme to create a new theme and activate it. I then go to “Manage Theme Fonts” and add two fonts, Raleway and Source Sans 3 and activate them.

I then go to the site editor and try to start using the fonts. While both fonts are available Source Sans 3 is broken. Anything I enable it on does not work it just remains the standard system font. Raleway works fine. Looking at the theme files the font files for Source Sans 3 are in place.

I discovered that removing the fonts and instead adding them from inside the site editor will make Source Sans 3 work, but it seems like there is definitely a bug enabling certain fonts from the Create Block Theme plugin.

    Thanks for reporting this.

The font management functionality in Create Block Theme has now been deprecated in favour of the new native Font Library built into the editor in WordPress 6.5. Please update both WordPress and the Create Block Theme plugin. Installing a font like Source Sans 3, with a number in the name, should work with both of these updates.
