Well, I was in great shape and things were working fine.

But today whether I sign on as the administrator or as another member, not one of my pictures shows up. There is a place for each of them, but neither a thumb nail nor the photo.

When I log in as the site administrator and go to edit the photos, there is a section for each one of them showing the correct title and description, but when I look for the photo, all I see is the message, “Source File Unavailable.”

I do not know where these files are stored by WPPA; so I can’t go out and find whether they are really there or not.

Since I first posted, I learned that the photos that WPPA uses are stored in a part of the wordpress database on my site. I went to this table and found that all the pictures which are shown as “Source File Unavailable” are indeed in the data base. So why will they not show up in their albums?

Not having the sourcefiles available does not mean that the thumbnails and ‘fullsize’ display pictures should not be shown.
The ‘source’files are only present if you configured saving sourcfiles before uploading/importing. See Table IX-H of the photo albums -> Settings admin page.

The source files ( if available ) reside in …/wp-content/uploads/wppa-source/album-[albumid]/

The ‘normal'( optionally downsized ) image files are in
    …/wp-content/uploads/wppa/ and
    …/wp-content/uploads/wppa/thumbs/

Please do not change anything manually in these folders.

Pls supply me a link to a page where you expect the photos to be shown.

I guess I confused matters by talking about “sourcefiles.” My problem is that none of my photos show in my albums. There is a place for each of them, and in the backend I can view their title, description and size, but neither in the administative end nor in the public end of the site are these photos or their thumbnails visible.

You may have a ‘security’ plugin active taht created a .htaccess file that prohibits the http acces to the photo files.

Try ticking the box in Table IV-A18 ( Enable photo html access ) may help.
If not, supply me a link to a page where you can see the problem.
