Hello,

Thanks for the good plugin. I like it a lot.

There is only one thing that annoys me.

I use the Newspaper theme and there is a special field to enter the source of your news. But it seems that AMP for WP doesnt copy the source from the regular page to the AMP pages. Strangly, it does copy categories. This is super annoying, since i have a newswebsite and mentioning the source is very important. I think im not the only one here.

– Why is the source not copied within the AMP version?

– How can i fix it?

– Please include this in the next update.

Thank you for the amazing feedback, I agree that it is very important for you and others too. But it is only for Newspaper Theme users, that’s something we can’t add it in the core because not everyone uses that specific theme,

We will add this feature in the Newspaper AMP theme: https://ampforwp.com/themes/newspaper

I have already created a ticket for this. If you use that theme, then that feature will be added in the theme update.

I was just looking at your AMP theme for newspaper. But why should i want my whole website to be AMP? I dont get it. Please tell me.

I use the regular plugin now, which are just creating AMP pages from every single post, which works fine and to me thats enough. Is there a way for me to add my source in the AMP pages with your plugin? I dont want to pay 50 dollar for just a source field my friend. You understand? Please help.

Hi @claitonlord

Once a visitor lands on your AMP page and if they click on one of your links, they will be redirected to a slower version with different UI, so to make the user experience consistent, it’s better to use that but IT’s not Necessary, you don’t have to use it if you don’t want to.

You can use our plugin, turn off the Homepage, Archive and Search Support and then you will also have the AMP only on the posts and pages as you wished.

Thank you brother.

There is only one thing i want and need and that is that AMP for WP copy my source field from the regular post. Otherwise i constantly have to add it manually in the text. And i dont wanna delete the plugin for a different one. Can you please fix the plugin that it copies my source field? I think you gonna make a lot of users happy, since its mandatory for a newswebsite.
