Yes. That’s how the plugin works.

But when the RSS source feed item is updated, the plugin is not updating the corresponding post on my website.

The shortcode is pulling the updated RSS Feed, but the post created by the plugin is not getting updated when the RSS Feed source is updated.

Are you using the shortcode or feed to post? What is the RSS feed that snt updating?

I was using Feed to Post. All is working well, but when the source (from RSS) is updated, the post on my website is not getting updated. RSS: https://tscra.org/news_blog/events/feed/

Ok. Then that is controlled by the schedule that you set on the feed to post setting page. What is the time of the schedule?

I kept the update frequency to 10 minutes and the cron job is working as well (checked using Cron GUI). The posts on my website (already imported by WP RSS Importer) are not getting updated when the source RSS feed post is updated.

I undestand that the plugin stores source RSS feed link in rssmi_source_link but. When the post on source (the feed from which the plugin pulls) is updated, I can’t get the updated post to the server. Does the plugin pulls updated posts (not new but existing posts which are updated) as well?

Let me explain much clearly:

Here’s the process:

1. Plugin pulls RSS feed items to wordpress posts from source RSS feed

2. If a RSS post on source website is updated (not a new article, but an existing individual item), the update is not reflected on my website. i.e, the plugin doesn’t update article on my website whenever a syndicated article is updated on its source.

right..that is the way the plugin works…..if the source content is updated, but the permalink is the same, then the plugin does not update the content. This, of course, is only the way it works on the Feed to Post…the shortcode works differently and would update as you are wanting.

Lastly, what if the source URL changes? Do the plugin considers pub date of the RSS item?

if the source URL changes the a new post is brought in…no, presently the plugin doesn’t change the pub date, just the url

So let me see if I got it right: if I want the post to reflect an updated feed, I need to use the shortcode instead of the feed to post feature?
