Ok, so you purchased a shared hosting account requiring a primary domain which we will call css-tricks.com. You then had setup a WordPress site with the domain digwp.com with the same hosting account. My issue here is, whenever I look into the source code of digwp.com, there are links showing css-tricks.com/digwp like so. Obviously because digwp.com is under the parent directory css-tricks.com. Is there any way to go about this rather than purchasing a new hosting account?

  • At many hosts where you have a “primary” domain, you also have the ability to setup “secondary” domains that live in a subfolder of your site’s root. So yes. I’d ask your host about it.

That’s right and it is actually annoying that this only happens when using WordPress. I believe there is really no way to solve this issue other than exclusively hosting one WordPress site for one hosting account.

All good. It’s actually possible to change the General Settings with no problems. Should have tried it out in the first place.
