SOS – 3DS Payments Fail On WordPress Side

    Hello,

    I am facing a rather serious issue with 3DS – since I am in Europe, 3DS not working causes a lot of problems.

    So, some of my customers have had the following problem for a while – they’d complete their purchase, and then they’d get the following message:

    Payment verification error: Missing order ID for payment confirmation

    The payment succeeds in Stripe but some customers don’t realize that, making a second payment after that. Also, it makes for a really bad customer experience.

    Today I managed to identify the pattern with 3DS payments. I tested with a live card and I reproduced the problem. Then, I turned Stripe to test mode and used the following 2 card numbers to reproduce the problem successfully:

    Hi there @dimgkiokas,

    On my test site, I’m not able to reproduce the problem using the card 4000002760003184. After completing checkout, I get the expected popup to complete the card authorization, and the order is completed successfully with no errors.

    We’ve seen this error before, and in that case it was caused by a conflict on the site in question.

    We’d strongly recommend conflict testing as a next step; we have a guide at this page.
