Sorting suddenly stopped working…Please help!

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

The suggested solution from that FAQ article should indeed not be relevant here. Instead, something on the site seems to be raising a JavaScript error, but I can’t really spot what it is ??
Can you therefore maybe try again after temporarily deactivating all other plugins? Then, re-activate them one by one, to see when things break again. That way, we should be able to find the cause for this.

I deactivated all my plugins and the table’s sorting functions are still broken…

What now??

** The table sorting does work when in “Preview” mode ONLY. But the second you visit the post, functionality is gone. This was the case before, and after, I deactivated the plugins.

Hm. Sorting function is functional again all of a sudden. Maybe there was a cache…

that’s really strange… From what I can see, the code looks totally fine. I just can’t see why the JS functions are not initialized here…

Can you maybe try deactivating plugins that use JavaScript code on the frontend again? Something must be interfering here…

I have deactivated all plugins…but I still can’t identify what is causing this…

thanks for trying that already! Can you also switch to a WordPress default theme like TwentyFifteen to see if that changes things?

I opted to switch to an alternate plugin. I will check back with this one later on, to see if it is fixed and I can use it again. I do like it better than the one I replaced it with. Yours is more aesthetically pleasing, but I don’t have time to keep battling with this. THANK YOU!

sure, I totally understand! I’m still convinced that the cause for this is not in TablePress (otherwise, I would have received many more reports about this), so there’s probably nothing really that can be fixed in TablePress.
