Sorting Posts by Category Term Name

    Hi,

    Using the Sorting widget, here are the standard sorting options:

    Default (no sorting)

By ID

Random

Author

Title

Name (post slug)

Date

Number of comments

Meta key

Meta key numeric

    How can I sort posts by their category term name (alphabetical)?

    Or is there a meta key for standard post categories that I can use?

    The only possibility would be to apply a custom field to those posts and add the needed data there, then use a sorting option by that custom field meta key and use ASC or DESC.
