• Howdy,

We’ve been using the plugin to sort posts on a client site. Once we drag and drop the posts to the correct order and hit “update” the posts show on the front end of the site in the correct order (the same as in the dashboard).

However, when we need to sort the posts differently, or when we add a post, and go back to the sorting plugin interface in the dashboard, the order resets to what it was prior to us sorting. The front end of the site still shows the correct sorted order. This means every time we need to adjust the post order by drag-and-dropping, we have to start from scratch and re-sort every single post again from whatever default it’s deciding to sort from. This is obviously a lot of duplicate work, and really defeats the purpose of using the plugin at all. Please advise if this is a known issue and if upgrading to pro would fix it!

This isn’t an expected behavior, most probably caused by a custom code or a plugin on your site. You can try to track that down.
As alternative, the Advanced Post Types Order use it’s own table to held order indexes, so it will not interfere with anything else, you may want to consider for that solution.

    Thanks
