Sorry to bother the forum with this. I have isolated the problem with the help of the FAQ titled, “Sorting or other JS functions are not working,” but I don’t know how to remove the line in the header.php as I cannot find it.

Within the TablePress plugin I want to the filter widget command, “[table id=18 datatables_columnfilterwidgets=true datatables_columnfilterwidgets_exclude_columns=5 /]”.

The GoogleMaps plugin is interfering. It works fine, and the filter widget works fine if I disable the GoogleMaps. I just cannot figure out what to do in order to make both cooperate simultaneously.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

I just checked that link, but everything is working for me? Where can I see the broken behavior?

    Regards,
    Tobias

I am not sure what you are seeing compared to what I am seeing. I only see a search box. I need the column filter widgets that allow a user to search by data in the column. I want it to look like this one. https://www.onevolleyball.net/tournaments/ What I see on this page, https://www.clubtournaments.net/team-codes/, does not look like the working one on onevolleyball.net. If both pages work the same on your end, why would it work on one site and not on the other on my end?

    Hi,

ah, my bad. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I hadn’t realized that you were referring to the ColumnFilterWidgets.
The problem here is indeed the Google Maps plugin that you are using. It’s also loading a copy of the DataTables JavaScript library. Unfortunately, it seems to be loading that even on pages where it shouldn’t ??
This second copy is interfering here, but there’s nothing that I can do about this in TablePress, I’m afraid.

I’m guessing it is loading the GoogleMap on each page because it is embedded in the content bar?

Any suggestions on how to solve the problem outside of TablePress so that I can use TablePress?

    Thanks,

    Hi,

that could be the case, yes.

The only way to fix this would be to not have the Google Maps plugin load that DataTables JS library.

Not sure how to do that, but that gave me an idea for a fix that worked perfectly. I changed the page to full width so as to not run the content bar on the right since that is where the interactive map was running. Filter widget works great now on that page. Thanks, Darin

    Hi,

no problem, you are very welcome! ?? Good to hear that this helped!

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
