Sorting options not being saved

    I’m wanting to add a sort option (in the sorting tab of the listing settings) of “Is Featured > Descending” to be used on a GD Listings widget on the archive pages so that the featured listings are shown first.

    When I select the Descending option it says “saving” on the bottom right hand corner but then looking back at the option, it still has Ascending selected and my featured listings are always on the last page of the archives.

    In fact, there is a sort that comes pre-installed of “Date > Newest” which had Descending as the order and after making it ascending, I cannot make it Descending again so now this option will always show the oldest listings too….

    Because when i go to the last page of teh directory i see all the featured listings… which should be exactly the other way, but as @vaccinemedia is telling here the saving of the change form Acending to Descending is not working…

    i find a way to go aroun dthis issue, but this is just for the moment, Geodirectory need def an update for this issue…

    If you are able to look into the database and change databese entry by hand, connect to your databanse of the Site, the coose the data table wp_geodir_custom_sort_fields

    There you finde the sorzing fields you have created. Then just choose the one you like to change, in my cae the “featured” one. There is a field called “sort”. All my entry are automatically “asc”, means Ascending, as i want do have a Descending order i just change the entry in this specific field aof the featured sorting to the short name “desc”, safe the database and that’s it. Nothing else to do.

    But this is not the “easy way” for everyone, so Geodirectory must be updated defo!
