Sorting on Custom Page vs Shop URL

I have custom pages displaying products rather than the default shop pages. I am using the wooCommerce Product Category element and selecting the category I need to display products. The plugin does not with with this. It is only working if I use the default shot url like example.com/category/category-name/

Is there any way to use either shortcodes or the wooCommerce Product Category element?
