Sorting of lookup field

  • Hi Peter,

    When a lookup relation is created, it doesn’t allow a user to sort the lookup field.

    For example, if I link a field contact_id to the contact table, and display the name in the list and edit view, I can’t control how the name is sorted in the pull-down list. Is there any way we can add sorting control for a lookup field?

    Hi Jay,

    Lookups are sorted ascending on the lookup column. This requirement came from many plugin users. There is currently no other alrernative sorting possible, but everything is possible… ?? What kind of sorting do you need?
