Sorting in “Topics Replied To” Section

  • Hello Team,

    This is just a suggestion in case that can be useful.

    Shouldn’t we have some kind of sorting functionality on User profile section called “Topics Replied To”

    Recently I came across one scenario, I posted a solution on one of the topic and after 2-3 days the creator of topic replied, but I had no way to find that out.

    Either the recently replied topic either by me or by creator should appear on the top or there must a way we can sort on Column “Last Post”.

    What is your point of view? Please do share.

    This is just a Suggestion/Feedback I thought which can help in making the Forums better.

  • This has been asked several times, but the meta team has stated that it would be too resource intensive to sort by date and user, since it’s comments.

    Thank you for your reply joyously.

    I understand, but as per my recent observation, it gets difficult to find if someone replies to a forum and awaiting any sort of help.

    There are high chances that those may be missed if we have not clicked on Notify.

    What are your/others thoughts on this?

    Going forward, there is one thing you can do: By switching a little setting in your forum profile, you’ll by default always have “Notify me of follow-up replies via email” checked.
    Click on your name where you’ve posted or replied and edit your Forum profile.
    If you’re active, you’ll get lots of emails. You might consider sorting them into a separate folder in your email client.

    We cannot add any additional sorting or ordering to the “Topics Replied To” section at this time for technical reasons. It’s too slow, basically.
