You can sort by any usermeta key, such as first_name. You can sort by a specific username (username=”bsmith”), but no, you can’t make a user “sticky” at the top…. not a bad suggestion though for a future release… Yes, you could use groups to create a custom set of employees to display. You’d need the paid version of Simple Intranet though to allow you to Create Groups in the Users menu though.
I’ll assume you saw this below in the Simple Intranet menu?
– To add a searchable employee directory to a page or post, insert the [employees] shortcode.
