sort products woocommerce

  • My Client wants the products to be shown in a specific order and iv tried various plugins, changing the menu number and through products/sort products but still coming up empty handed.

    also if anyone knows how to get rid of the tags in the product area, how to make the related products image smaller and how to move the search bar from the bottom up into the nav menu thatd be amazing.

    I used that one before and i thought it was only for post order , any chance you could tell me how to use it to arrange the products , thanks in advance

    First of all, be sure, that your plugin “Post types order” is activated ??
    Then, go to your “Products” tab. There, at the bottom of that tab you will see a new section called “Re-Order”. That’s what you are looking for.

    When you will click it, you’ll see all the products, that you can drag and drop in the order you want.

    This only allows you to update the product order the same way for the entire site. I need to be able to order the products differently per category page. I tried the drag and drop thing already but it just changes globally on the site. Any idea how i can fix this?

    Forget the default sort capability or any date / menu_order mods, they will not work as expected, beside they are hard to manage when lots of products. I switched using a professional tool for that matter is called Advanced Post Types Order, is not free ($25) but does the work just fine and i can use it for other sections of my site.

    I spent a good 90 minutes (of very productive, competent developer time) f#%*ing with WooCommerce’s drag & drop sort, and manual enter-in-the-id sort.

    @kothouse’s recommendation of using ‘Post Types Order’ plugin and then hitting the reorder tab worked. THANK YOU SO MUCH <3 <3 <3

    Folks, why include things which are not working as it should.. the default drag and drop WooCommerce sorting is useless. Managed to achieve what client asked using Advanced Post Types Order which is the commercial version of Post Types Order
