How can I sort my products by date. Each time I add a product in the back end I want it to show first. So if I have 20 products and I add a new one I want to see it at the top regardless of the name.

Unfortunately there is no way to automatically sort by date. In the back-end admin, you can manually set the starting order by drag and drop. And, on the front end, visitors can sort by either price or name.

Can I configure or customize the plugin so that it sorts the products by date?

    Hi Damion,

It would likely be possible to modify the plugin code directly to make it so that it automatically sorts by date, but, as this isn’t something we’ve tried to implement or test, we wouldn’t be able to offer any specific pointers beyond this. And it’s important to keep in mind that any changes made to the core plugin code/files would be overwritten if you update the plugin.

The simplest thing to do would be to use the available manual drag and drop ordering to put the products into the order you want (e.g. chronological) and then, when you add a new product, you can just drag it to the top.

Hi! First of all, I’m very happy with this Plugin. I use the free pro trail version at the moment and will buy the pro version.

I have nearly the same question. I want order – latest first – and was playing around with your advice:

“The simplest thing to do would be to use the available manual drag and drop ordering to put the products into the order you want (e.g. chronological) and then, when you add a new product, you can just drag it to the top.

Drag and drop of categories, sup-categories e.g. work out fine. But it work not on the products.

What can I do? https://www.kimokura.com/catalogue-raisonne/ warm regards

Me again. Found the solution in YOUR answer in another thread (maybe somebody can use it).

“There is currently no built in method in the plugin settings for sorting products automatically.

You can however manually change the product order within a catalogue by:

    1) Editing the catalogue that contains your products
    2) Scrolling down to the box in the bottom right of page (i.e. the one that shows what products/categories are in your catalogue)
    3) Clicking and dragging the product to top of the list, so it displays first”

    Thx
