Sort Posts by Connected Posts

So what I have set up is a custom post type of guests, which I then link to episodes those people are a part of.

What I want to do is, on the guests archive page display their profiles, but order them by the most recently connected episode.

So whomever was most recently on the show would show up at the top of the list, and the rest would follow from there.

Is that possible?
