I have a couple dozen packages and I would like to sort them to be easier to choose from woocommerce. How do I go about doing this? Even though they appear correct under settings/woocommerce shipping, they do not appear in that order when selecting shipping rates.

    Hello @jglazer63,

I’m afraid there is no default option to custom-sort the packages, but you can always remove the ones you don’t use often from the list to make the list organized.

I don’t want to “custom sort”. Alphabetically would suffice. We use all the package types we have defined but it is messy as heck to use.

Thanks for sharing your feedback. I understand what you mean, and there might be room for an enhancement here.

Please follow the link below to open an issue on the WooCommerce Shipping & Tax GitHub repository and bring this to the attention of the developers:

Hi @jglazer63, thanks for the report! Could you please also mention in the GitHub issue if the problem at hand regards the carrier-defined (“service”) packages or custom-defined packages?

Carrier-defined ones should be grouped into sections. Does this help at all? If this is about custom packages though, if you have many, there would indeed be no grouping which I imagine is something that could be improved.

This is a major issue for us as well. It is very time consuming to find the correct packages because they are not organized. It seems hard to believe that groups can effectively use it as it is.

Are there any plugins that might help?

@amanda773 thanks! I whole heartedly agree. This would be a basic feature of anything database driven. Every time I send a package I get frustrated with this plugin, as good as it may be.

    Hello @jglazer63,

I believe @waclawjacek assumed you would create an enhancement report in the extension’s development repository, as suggested above: https://github.com/Automattic/woocommerce-services/issues

If you don’t have a GitHub account or prefer that we handle it for you, no worries! Just let us know, and we’ll create the report. :?)

    Cheers!
