I am having a problem with the sort order in list mode. On the first page of the event listings, it is showing them correctly. When I switch to “Next Events”, that is when it starts messing up the order. Basically adding different months, older months, etc.

    Any Suggestions would be appreciated.

  • Hi @mharmontx,

Thanks for your interest in our products.

I wasn’t able to reproduce the issue that you are talking about on my test site. Could you take a moment and run through our Testing for Conflicts guide. Many times this process can help figure things out.

Do you have a live URL for this site?

    Take care,

I have narrowed this down to a conflict with the WordPress Post Type Order plugin. Seems like the Post Type Order plugin is enabling Re-Order for The Event Calendar.

Have any other customers had this issue and is there a solution?

    Thanks.

Yeah, most of those post order plugins will throw your events out of order — unless they have an option to disable for the custom post type used by The Events Calendar.

It doesn’t look like Post Types Order has the option to disable sorting for certain types but Intuitive Post Order does have this option — after enable for the types of posts, they can be ordered by dragging and dropping right on the posts page. (I’m not certain that this plugin will meet your needs — this is third party and not supported or guaranteed)

    Hope that helps!

    Hey there,

Since this thread has been inactive for a while, I’m going to go ahead and mark it as resolved. Don’t hesitate to create a new thread any time you help again!
