My dropbox folder is organized like this:

    00. Index Of Documents.pdf
    01. first PDF
    02. Second PDF
    02. (Attachments) – folder of documents related to 2nd PDF
    03. third PDF
    04. fourth PDF
    04. (Attachments) – folder of documents related to 4th PDF

except there’s close to 100 PDFs.

The plugin displays them in this order no matter what I do:

    02. (Attachments) – folder of documents related to 2nd PDF
    04. (Attachments) – folder of documents related to 4th PDF
    00. Index Of Documents.pdf
    01. first PDF
    02. Second PDF
    03. third PDF
    04. fourth PDF

This is absolutely confusing to my users, and none of the options in the settings screen or the sort attribute in the shortcode seem to make a difference. Is there a way to sort them by name order? Dropbox has no problem displaying them in correct alphabetical order.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Thanks for the feedback. I just tried this out using the filenames you have above and I’m not able to reproduce the problem you’re seeing. Can you please confirm you have the option Use natural sort order: checked on in the plugin settings?

    Thanks!

Yes, I’ve tried all variations of the sort order settings. Maybe I wasn’t clear. The two marked “folder of documents” are subfolders, not documents.

I was able to fix this myself by going into the plugin and editing your sorting function to stop looking at whether $var->{.tag} was “folder” or not (well, actually I just replaced “folder” with “fxlder”.) However, if you update the plugin, obviously this will break… it would be great if there was a checkbox for this.

I’ve just pushed out version 2.1.6 which provides the checkbox you were looking for in the options.
