Sort gallery problem

    The site owner has set the sort in Manage Galleries > Sort Gallery and clicked Update Sort Order, but the gallery displayed on the page doesn’t coincide with the selected Sort Order.

    Presort is set to Unsorted, Ascending.

    I’m looking around the gallery images now and not seeing where the problem might be. We’d like to get this working through NGG because the site owner is not facile using code view to sort his galleries. Thanks for any help.

    Hi @stanwoodard,

    NGG allows custom sorting the gallery’s images from either “Manage Galleries” or from the inserted “NextGen Gallery” block/module from your page ( if being set – the last would override the sorting sequence from “Manage Gallery” ).

    I’d check to see if there’s any sorting made at the inserted into page NGG block’s level.

    We’re trying from both of those places . . . clicking EDIT from the page block or clicking Manage Galleries from the NextGEN Gallery menu we eventually. The Gallery Settings page and the Sort Gallery pages both show order as desired, but the live page doesn’t coincide.

    My first impulse is to use the code editor to arrange the order but need it working properly for the site owner’s future use.
